A: To comply with USDA food safety regulations and maintain our farm’s certification, pets are not permitted on the farm at any time. This includes all fields as well as hayrides, where pets are also restricted for their safety. Service dogs are an exception. During October, guests with service dogs may select a pumpkin from our pre-picked pumpkin display, ensuring both accessibility and adherence to safety standards. We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the health and safety of our visitors, staff, and crops.

A: The original Pumpkin Patch Sauvie Island accepts cash and credit cards for all purchases throughout the farm, including outdoor pumpkins and activities. EBT cards are accepted only inside the Market and cannot be used for outdoor pumpkin purchases or activities. Additionally, please note that $4.00 Farm Direct Dollars are not accepted at any location on the farm. We recommend planning accordingly to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit.

As for donations, each year, the farm donates to African New Life Ministries and other nonprofits of our choosing focused on farming initiatives. A: Yes and no. Personal photography is welcome at The original Pumpkin Patch Sauvie Island during our regular business hours from June through October with no service fee. Photographers may visit with their clients; however, we do not permit any prop setups, customer appointments, or pets for photography sessions to ensure an enjoyable experience for all guests. Additionally, the use of drones is not allowed on the farm. Photography activities must be conducted in a manner that does not interrupt the farm’s daily operations or other visitors. We DO NOT provide group packages, reserved spaces, reserved seating, reserved tables, or picnic areas. 2. Private spaces are only available through The Maize by renting a bonfire pit area. Each hayride costs $2.00 per person, with children aged 2 and under riding free. The last hayride departs and walking to the fields must be completed by 5:30 PM, as the fields close promptly by 6:00 PM. Visitors should be prepared for potentially muddy fields and dusty, bumpy rides. For safety and food certifications, no pets are allowed on the hayrides or in the fields, and all riders must be able to load and unload independently. These guidelines ensure a safe and enjoyable experience while continuing the farm’s tradition of heritage-harvested, generations-grown produce.
