October Group and Fieldtrip Information

Come visit us!

Groups are welcome to come to the farm anytime! Here is some helpful information in planning for your group:

 

Free daily hayrides to the Pumpkin Field:

The free daily hayrides will begin at 10am in October and will run until 5:45pm. Come anytime during those hours and ride the hay wagons together, or you can walk to the fields, or purchase pre-picked pumpkins.

Food:  

The Patio Cafe is open daily in October from 9am to 6pm, and until 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights. The Patio Cafe offers grass-fed beef burgers, hot dogs, Gardenburgers, sandwiches, corn, desserts, snacks, and drinks. Our specialty harvest fare booths are open on Labor Day weekend and October weekends. View our menu and prices here. Certain snacks and treats can be pre-made for your group in October. Script: A pre-pay option for group activities and food:

You may purchase tickets, or script, in $1.00 increments that can be used as cash anywhere on the the farm. Script can be purchased in The Market by emailing info@thepumpkinpatch.com at least 24 hours ahead of your visit.

Script is same-day use only. No refunds. We will give you the total purchase and you can divide it as needed for your group! 

Processing fee: 1-200 tickets =$10, 200-500 =$20, 500+= $40.

Birthday Parties:

Though we don't offer formal birthday party packages, many people choose to celebrate birthdays on the farm.  The Cafe offers many food and snack choices.  

 

Seating and Meeting spaces:

Seating is available on our lawn picnic tables on a first-come, first served basis with a one-hour time limit. (No personal tents or outside food/alcohol is permitted). Or you may reserve a space at the Maize by calling (503) 621-7110 or email info@portlandmaze.com

**Please Note - The covered seating in the Patio Cafe area is reserved for patrons of the Cafe only.

Catering/Tents/Signs:

Outside catering, food, or alcohol is not permitted. The Patio Cafe offers a great selection of food and drink items to purchase.MENU 

Personal or business tents or signage are also not permitted on our grounds.

Weekday Fieldtrips:

Pumpkin Patch Fieldtrips: We invite school-aged groups to visit weekdays in October. Our kid-sized ($4) pumpkin field is within easy walking distance or the large-sized ($6-$12) pumpkins are accessible by walking or taking a free hayride.  For groups larger than 25, just give us a call and let us know what time to expect you! 503-621-3874.

 

The Maize Fieldtrips:  (K-12) and non-profit groups receive a discounted rate of $5.00 per person. To schedule a date and time for your visit, please contact The Maize directly.
