The Big Red Barn at The Pumpkin Patch,
Sauvie Island. Rental Information, August-October

The Pumpkin Patch Big Red Barn is ideal for:
*Youth events or church parties *Birthday parties

Accommodations: Barn size=35ft.x100ft.
*Hay bale seating provided for 100+ guests
*One large table *Full lighting
*8 super-duty electrical outlets *One garbage can

 

 

Rental Fees:
$100.00 for 2 hours or $400.00 for the day (9am-6pm), set-up and clean up must be concluded within time reserved. Minimum 2-hour reservation is required with a $50 per hour charge thereafter.

Reservations:
Made in advance, with rental fees paid in full prior to reservation date, by calling (503) 621-3874. A $50 cancellation fee applies.

Catering:
The Patio Café provides catering at The Pumpkin Patch. Several menus are available for various budgets. Please call the farm for contact information for our caterer. A $50 deposit is required.
Groups may bring their own food, but not their own catered meal, as this is a service the farm provides. Also, script may be purchased for group guests to select their own choices from the Patio Café daily menu. Alcohol is not permitted at the farm.

Activities to add to your event:
*For $2.00 per person, a private hayride or cow train ride can be arranged when either ride is not in operation during your event. The hayride and cow train must be pre-arranged with a $50 minimum fee per ride.
*During The Maize season, September and October, get lost in the Maize for $6.00 adults, and $4.00 children, our group rate.
*The hay maze is free of charge and available Sept-Oct. 9-6pm
*The free animal barn is open daily June-October 9-6pm. The Pumpkin Cottage Gift shop is open M-F 10-4pm and weekends 10-5pm. The produce market is open daily 9-6pm.
* A group activity package may be purchased in October for $13 per adult, and $11 per child (age 12 & under). Activity package includes the Maize, a cow train ride, and a large pumpkin. (Package pricing provides a $3 discount per person.)
* Groups may also choose their own activities and use script to pre-pay for their group members.

Terms and Policies:
1. Rental fees are due at time of reservation, payable to The Pumpkin Patch. A $50 non-refundable cancellation fee applies.
2. Pre-arranged activities and/or catering fees are payable in full at time of event.
3. Clean up is required before departure. Bring garbage bags.
4. Group members are not allowed in unauthorized parts of the farm. Supervision is required for children and youth.
5. Groups are responsible for any damages incurred by group.
6. Please bring signs with your group name on them, this way members can easily find your group at the barn!!

Script Information for use at The Pumpkin Patch:

1. Each ticket of script is valued at $1.00.
2. The café script will be different in color than the script for the farm activities. Café script and maze tickets can be purchased separately at the café and maze. For all other farm activities, listed below*, please purchase script in the market prior to your event.
3. Script is pre-paid before activities.
4. Sorry, script is non-refundable.
5. Script is for same-day use only, and will not be honored on a different day.
6. Cash, check, or visa/mastercard can be used to purchase script.
7. On the day of your activity, if more script is needed, no problem, simply visit the market or cafe and personnel can help.

*Script can be used for either the café (sold separately), or in the market for other farm activities including:
The produce market, The Pumpkin Cottage Gift shop, the Cow Train, the hayrides, and for pumpkin purchases.

  • WHO: Children ages preschool to sixth grade. Groups of 20 or more.
• WHAT: A fun and educational tour of a forty-year-old working farm market, including a hayride through the pumpkin patch.
• A mind-boggling crawl through our one-ton hay maze.
• A visit with our favorite farm animals in the famous Big Red Animal Barn.
• Portland’s original Corn Maize – come get lost!
• Every student takes home a souvenir bookmark, sticker, apple, and their own pumpkin.
• WHEN: Weekdays in October, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
• $$: Cost of the Pumpkin Patch fieldtrip is $6.00 per student including the child-size pumpkin, apple, souvenir and above listed activities, or $4.00 per student not including the Corn Maize. (No charge for adult chaperones) Lunch areas may also be reserved for larger groups for a $10.00 fee.
